The DAC has community-based job sites throughout Winona County. Individuals work in various settings such as churches, restaurants, local retail stores, offices, and private apartments.
Community sites are developed to match the interests, skills, and strengths of each individual client. DAC staff assist clients and provide training, orientation, and work skill development to all clients working on job sites. A DAC job coach attends each community site, provides transportation to and from the job and oversees job performance to insure the quality of work performed meets employer standards. Some individuals are hired directly by the employer. Community inclusion benefits are shared by everyone at the job site.
